 episode summary
Nicki's mum is concerned about her daughter's attitude to men and sex, and the fact that she doesn't seem to have ever had a proper relationship (just sex) so she tries to talk to her. Jamie decides to get a job, especially because he needs to buy Sooz a replacement Mini-Disc player which he broke whilst doing his own version of karate. Nicki's mum takes advantage when Nicki stands Sasha up, and questions her daughter's friend about Nicki's sex life and male partners. As well as putting her foot in it and portraying her daughter as a slut, Sasha lets slip that Nicki felt strongly for Jamie, but it came to nothing. Jamie and Alex get jobs at the bar, where Nicki tries to make Jamie jealous by flirting with a guy in front of him. However she is made to look a fool when the guy turns her down. Rob sees Sooz is depressed and goes to her place to check she is okay – she tells him she is okay and he promises her that he will always be there for her. Nicki's mum confronts her about Jamie but Nicki is defensive – furious at both her and Sasha. A fight breaks out at the bar after a guy takes offence to Jamie flirting with his girlfriend and exacts his revenge by smashing up the bar. Jamie has to pay for the damage and cannot afford to buy Sooz's MD player. Sasha and Nicki make up and Nicki has a girlie chat with her mum – she turns over a new leaf and declares ‘no men'.

fun and viewer review
Dear Season 3. I love/hate you. In prior seasons I loathed Nikki and her POVs. Now, I'm like "awesome, I wanna see this". I love/hate it!
Surprised Sasha only made it all sound worse with the Nicki-stuff.
