episode summary
It's the day of the court case, which will finally decide ownership of Harchester United. Matt's ex, Alison goes to court with Matt to give him support along with Jeff, who unbeknown to Matt, is now helping the Boyles' claim. Matt's case rests on the fact that Harchester never informed him that his seats had been re-allocated for the final game of last season. Jeff asks Sandra what the procedure was last season when all tickets for the Everton game had to be re-scheduled. When Sandra reveals to Jeff that all tickets were sent out accordingly he talks to Alison and realising she is hiding something, convinces her to take to the stand and “help” Matt's claim. Once up in the stand, the prosecutor rips into Alison and forces her into a confession. The letter was sent from Harchester but Alison kept it from Matt so that they could go on holiday. Matt's claim is dismissed, and he leaves Harchester for good, devastated. The remaining contenders left are now Dean and Donna, Dean was the owner of the ticket but Donna was sat in the seat, the court case between the remaining pair will be settled at a later date.
Meanwhile, Pilar decides to sell Luke when she learns of his illness, but both Stuart (back in the managers position) and the fans block the move not knowing about Luke's condition. Luke decides to have an operation, which could either stop the downward spiral of his illness or make him completely blind. Luke decides it's a risk he is willing to take, in order to save his career and makes his way to the clinic. Pilar leaves Stuart a letter telling him that she is leaving Harchester for good as its all gone wrong for her.
