episode summary

It's Christmas Day. Clyde hands Donna £230,000 legal fees after finding out about her infidelity with Curtis. Donna is determined to seek revenge on Tony for this. After Donna has fully investigated Harchester United's PA system and Control Room, she puts on her slap and sexy Mrs Christmas outfit then heads to the Boyles with a special present. Karen begs Tony to let her be with her family on Christmas day; he is not overly keen and proceeds to insult her throughout the day. Lee and Jeff are also guests at the Boyles but decide to leave when things get heated. Donna decides to give Tony her present, the winning seat – F61. Karen and Dean are over the moon Donna has apologised and promised to give up her claim on the Club. Tony isn't totally convinced.

Since learning of Luke's impending blindness, Pilar has skipped the country to go back to Spain. The Club is in chaos with no one knowing where she is. Stuart has gone to Spain to bring Pilar back to Harchester. He finds her scared of what will happen when the press and Dream Inc. find out about Luke. He manages to convince her she is strong enough to deal with it and they get increasingly close. Once back in Harchester, he treats her to a slap-up Christmas meal where they get even cosier than before. They almost kiss but are interrupted. Dr Solley calls Harchester looking for Pilar, but she's not there so Marcel answers the call. Solley is wary of giving away any clues. Marcel is curious so calls back the number and finds out immediately who Solley really is.

Marcel tells Abi what he's discovered; they both rush over to the clinic where they find Luke in a bed with eye patches on. Abi is hopping mad about not being informed of Luke's condition, she believes the Club is corrupt. It's not helping that Fletch hasn't called on Christmas Day, and that baby Louis won't settle. Once back at home, Abi and Marcel have an argument about who is lonelier, it ends up with them kissing passionately then going to bed together. Stuart and Pilar go to Abi's to discuss Luke, but as soon as they arrive it turns into one blazing row. Abi is furious about them lying to her, plus the fact she just cheated on her husband doesn't help matters. They leave while Abi is still fuming, then Fletch rings which leaves Marcel feeling completely rejected.

Donna suggests the Boyles go to the Club seeing as they now own it. The day seems to be going well until Donna decides it's time for the Boyles real treat. She gets Tony up to the control room where they put a message on the big screen for Dean. Karen and Dean wait in the stands. Donna seduces Tony and makes sure he says how much he wants her, just like the last time. She flicks the switch so the announcement is heard through the speakers in the ground. Karen chases Dean up to the room where they catch Donna and Tony red-handed. Karen runs out the club and into her car, Tony chases her, he falls to the ground and has a heart attack.
