episode summary

It's the day of the court cased that will finally decide ownership between Donna and Dean. After both sides provide equally valid reasons as to why they should get the club, the judge claims that there is no legal way of settling this so he gives them both joint ownership (50% each).

Both Dean and Donna are given a tour of the club that they both now own and are introduced to the players and staff. Still bearing a grudge against the club, convinced that this was the cause of Tony's death Dean has decided that he is going to destroy Harchester United.

Jeff sees an opportunity of gaining the position of Chief Executive at Harchester and does his best to sweet-talk Dean and Donna. Pilar has the same idea but has one up on Jeff, knowing exactly what is going on with Luke and shares this with Dean in a bid to gain his co-operation.

It's the day of Tony's funeral and it's hardly a strong turnout to say the least. During the middle of Dean's speech, he is outraged as he sees Donna coming to pay her respects. After a war of words between the two ex's, Dean walks out to tell the television reporters all about Luke's eye conditon.

The sponsors who own Bruce's contract decide to take him out of Harchester and place him in a Spanish football club. Clyde asks Jeff to help him get a transfer out the club. Stuart is outraged at the recent events and vents his frustration onto Dean. The fans also target Dean as Harchester lose their FA Cup 3rd round tie. Dean soon realises how much the club means to the fans and backroom staff and promises to run the club properly. However the bank are already threatening action, they will pull out of all funding and call in the receivers if Harchester drop below 6th in the league....
