episode summary
Jeff and Fletch continue their quest to buy into the club.
Meanwhile Pilar sits back as Harchester face Chelsea knowing that anything less than 3pts would mean they would drop below 6th place and face bankruptcy. Surprisingly though, Harchester beat Chelsea leaving Pilar with some thinking to do in order to de-value the club to allow the sheik to buy it cheap.
Pilar narrows it down to Fletch being the thorn in her side and enlists the help of her lapdog Stuart to get rid of the competition. With Stuart already knowing about Abi and Marcel's affair, he goes to Abi and tells her to stop Fletch's takeover bid or he will reveal all. Abi is devastated that Stuart would do such a thing, and Stuart doesn't seem too happy about it himself. Leaving Abi with no choice she does all that she can to try and stop Fletch's takeover bid, suggesting that they could move away for good, leaving Harchester behind – but to no avail.
Pilar overhears Stuart and Abi arguing and makes the assumption that Abi has been cheating on Fletch. She deviously bumps into Fletch and while he looks away, she reaveals all by writing, “Which one of them has been sleeping with your wife?” on one of his speech cards. Whilst going through his speech in front of everyone, Fletch comes across the tampered with card and fly's off the handle at Abi demanding to know who it was. At this point Marcel owns up and gets a right hook in the face for his trouble.
With nothing to stay for anymore, Fletch leaves Harchester for Saudi Arabia again with no intention of ever returning and in doing so, he delivers a final blow to Abi at the airport by revealing that he has given Louie back to Lynda before exiting through the gate, leaving Abi in tears. With Abi also feeling she has lost everything, she boards a plane back to Ireland.
