episode summary
It's the day before the court case in which Clyde is suing the Boyles for stolen goods. Dean has a run in with newly weds Donna and Clyde in which he ends up humiliated. Heartbroken, he leaves Harchester but not before he smashes up Clyde's sports car.
Due to Clyde's recent actions towards Stuart and his involvement in the ownership case, Stuart tells him that he will be sold as soon as the transfer window opens. Clyde is devastated, all he wants to do is play football, and only for Harchester.
The day of the court case arrives and sisters, Donna and Karen are torn apart. On opposite sides of the court case they both tell completely opposite stories leaving the judge confused as to whom to believe. His decision is made up for him though as, at the very last minute Clyde storms into the courtroom telling all that he is withdrawing his claim for ownership. He no longer wishes to own Harchester, he just wants to play for them. Nothing Donna says can change Clyde's mind leaving her hopes and dreams in tatters, she is still married to someone she doesn't even love and her hopes of owning a piece of Harchester Utd are shattered. This now leaves the two main contenders, Matt Webster and The Boyle's battling for ownership that will be decided at a later date.
Jeff catches up with tearaway Lee and tells him that he has the potential to be the next big thing in the Premiership but he is on the verge of throwing it all away. Jeff manages to get Lee a trial with the Harchester reserve team which Clyde is now in trying to climb back up the ranks. The two take an instant disliking to each other however leading everyone to believe that Harchester is not big enough for the both of them.
